Call for 2008 Nominations to the IARIW Council

The Council of the International Association for Research in Income and Wealth includes 12 members. Nine members are elected by the entire membership of the Association with six-year staggered terms such that three members begin their terms at each biennial general conference. The nine elected members of the Council co-opt three additional members to serve two-year terms from one general election to the next. In addition, the immediate Past Chairperson of the Council remains a member ex officio for a further two years. Retiring elected Council members are not eligible for immediate re-election.

The purpose of this notice is to invite the membership to submit nominations. Nominations to the Council may be made by a minimum of two and a maximum of three members of the Association in good standing (excluding the person who is being nominated). Such nominations should be received by the IARIW secretariat at the address below by email, fax, or mail by June 15, 2008. Please include a short biography of the person nominated. Any member of the Association, except the three retiring elected Council members and the retiring past chairperson of the Council, is eligible to be nominated. For your information, the present members of the Council are as follows:
